Roll’Rack Mega

The Roll’Rack Mega is an industrial solution designed for organised storage and direct unwinding from cable drums.
Its vertical design allows a large number of drums to be grouped within a limited floor area while keeping each reference individually accessible. The system is fully modular and expandable: the rack length, height and drum arrangement can be adapted to the workshop layout and the dimensions of the reels to be stored.
Each drum is installed on its own shaft and can be secured by an individual safety system. This design allows a drum to be loaded, unloaded or replaced without releasing the other drums on the rack, while allowing the cable to be unwound directly from its storage position.

Technical specifications

The Roll’Rack Mega consists of a modular industrial steel structure made from side frames in UNP 100 × 8 mm sections. Freestanding and floor-mounted, its robust design is suited to handling requirements in industrial environments.
The uprights are perforated every 100 mm to allow the supports to be height-adjusted and adapted to different drum diameters. The structure is available in heights from 2 to 6 m and can be extended by adding bays.
The drums are mounted on galvanised tubular steel shafts from Ø30 to Ø76 mm, with capacities of up to 5,000 kg per shaft depending on the configuration. Versions designed for unwinding incorporate rotation rings and locking collars, while different anti-dislodgement supports hold each drum individually.

Operating procedure / Operation

1 - Level configuration	The drum-shaft supports are positioned on the uprights according to the diameter of the drums to be stored. The 100 mm adjustment pitch allows the height between each level to be adapted.
2 - Shaft selection and installation	Start the cycleThe shaft is selected according to the weight, drum bore and intended use. It is inserted through the centre of the drum and then secured laterally using the collars where fitted.
3 - Drum loading	The drum fitted with its shaft is handled to its position and then placed on the corresponding rack supports.
4 - Shaft securing	With supports equipped with an active safety system, inserting the shaft opens the lock. Once correctly positioned, the lock automatically returns to the closed position.
5 - Cable unwinding	On shafts designed for this purpose, the cable can be unwound directly from the rack. The rings allow the shaft to rotate while the collars keep the drum in position.
6 - Drum unlocking	When a drum needs to be replaced, the operator operates only the safety system for the position concerned. Depending on the configuration, this operation is carried out using the rod.
7 - Unloading and replacement	The drum is removed with its shaft and then replaced. The other drums can remain locked on their supports during the handling operation.
